Currently the firm is constituted by two active partners namely Mr. James Luboyera Kyazze and Mr. Ali Kankaka who are assisted by a legal associate and three legal assistants. The firm is looking to engaging more partners and advocates, who will come in with a lot of experience in various fields of practice, to add on the already experienced team of partners in the firm. With the growth plans that the firm has, our firm is expected to become one of largest and most successful law firms in the country. Every year, the firm expects to add new professional staff members to its team and this will ensure continued growth, expansion and efficiency.
Mr. Kyazze is one of the founding partners of the firm and has been practicing for nearly 20 years. He has extensive knowledge and experience in international transactions coupled with extensive experience in complex litigation before Courts, Tribunals and arbitral bodies. Mr. Kyazze previously worked for one of the leading law firms in Uganda, which lay a solid foundation for his current exceptional performance in legal practice.
Mr. Kyazze is widely and highly experienced in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. He has advised and/or acted for numerous local and international clients comprising of corporate entities, foreign law firms, international agencies and individuals regarding diverse issues (contentious and non-contentious) including, banking, capital markets, carriage of goods, energy law, finance, investment law, mining and telecommunications law. Mr. Kyazze is also particularly experienced in commercial arbitration (international and domestic).
Mr. Kyazze obtained his LL.B degree from Makerere University, Kampala and holds a post graduate diploma in legal practice from Law Development Centre (LDC). Mr. Kyazze also holds a Master of Laws degree (Commercial Law) from the Cardiff University, Wales, United Kingdom. Mr. Kyazze also holds a Certificate in Advanced Techniques in Negotiating Successful Oil and Gas Exploration and Infrastructure Contracts. He is an enrolled advocate and practices in all fields of corporate and commercial law (including litigation). Mr. Kyazze is a Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths.

Mr. Kankaka is one of the founding partners of the firm. Prior to opening the firm, Mr. Kankaka had been working for one of the leading law firms in Uganda, which laid a solid foundation for the extensive invaluable experience that Mr. Kankaka has obtained in his legal practice journey lasting over 15 years.
Mr. Kankaka is an enrolled advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all courts of Judicature. He practices in all fields of banking and finance law, corporate and commercial law (including litigation), energy law, intellectual property law, international business transactions, international commercial arbitration, securities law, tax & revenue law (including tax litigation), labour law, environmental law, and telecommunications law. Mr. Kankaka has advised various international lenders, foreign law firms, international investors and multinational corporations regarding their diverse transactions in Uganda.
Mr. Kankaka obtained his LL.B degree from Makerere University Kampala and holds a postgraduate diploma in legal practice from the Law Development Centre (LDC).
